morning acoustics
A little chill morning playlist for on the go. Perfect for those times when you're sitting in a train, completely blocking out the rest of the world and watching the scenery pass by. Always feel as if I'm in a dramatic/melancholic film scene though (;

Kreta, Griechenland
watermelons, sunsets and happy trains...
Three words that perfectly sum up my trip to Greece this summer. One of my best friends and I decided over half a year a go to treat ourselves to a well-deserved getaway, which ended up being in beautiful Crete, Greece. I can't tell you how many hours we lay around in (rather uncomfortable) sun beds or beds in general, ate from greek dishes to huge heaps of watermelon everyday and explored the island with interesting vehicles. After this short but relaxing week we both felt rested and dreaded having to go back to reality. Although it has to be said, that everything seems a lot more manageable with a tan.
The trip was a great start to my gap year next to the job I took back in July and I cannot await my next one, which just happens to be a fresh and short trip to Cologne, very much looking forward to that.
Below you'll find little impressions and outtakes of our stay in Greece and in the next couple of days I'll probably upload a little video so stay tuned for that. Missing the beach and the crystal clear sea so much but looking forward to what else this year will hold in stock for me!

some thoughts of now
Well hello there!
I guess the time has come to actually introduce myself to the internet world.
I'm Joelle, a music, book and photography fanatic and only just stepped out of the safe and secure system called high school. Now the time has come to somewhat "face the world" but I'd preferably call it "take life into my own hands".
And to do so I am taking a gap year. A year allowing myself to do and see things that I wasn't and in the future maybe even won't be able to do, to discover not only myself but also others, make friends and most importantly see the world. Doing all those things is great in its own way, however, I want to keep a hold of all these memories in a journal type of way. That is how the idea of some thoughts of now began. Whether it's simply writing down thoughts on how my travels in South America might be, photographs or posting a travel pack list, I'll jot down whatever floats my boat and maybe even catch your interest. It's not only for me to be able to look back to everything I went through but also for you to be a part of my adventures. The now, or my is what counts and on this blog will be accompanied with my ever so intelligent thoughts.
If you want to know even more about my humble self, click HERE and without further a do, I guess it's time to log myself out.
Talk to you soon,
Joelle x
